As your state senator, I believe no one working full-time should struggle to afford the basics—housing, food, transportation, and healthcare. That’s why I am committed to raising the minimum wage to a true living wage that dynamically adjusts with the cost of living. Workers shouldn’t have to depend on endless political debates to see their wages keep pace with rising expenses. Instead, we need a system that ensures fair pay grows automatically as the economy changes, providing stability for workers and their families.
Until we achieve that, I will fight tirelessly to raise Louisiana’s minimum wage. If necessary, I will personally introduce legislation to increase it in every legislative session until we succeed. Our current wage of $7.25 per hour is an insult to the hardworking people who keep our communities running, and it’s long past time we change that. A living wage is not just an economic necessity—it’s a moral imperative that builds stronger families, communities, and businesses. I am ready to lead the charge and deliver the fair pay Louisiana workers deserve.
