Louisiana families deserve healthcare that doesn’t break the bank. We can lower premiums by creating a state program that helps insurance companies cover the cost of really expensive medical bills, which will bring everyone’s prices down. We’ll also give more people the option to buy into Medicaid if they can’t afford private insurance but make too much to qualify for free coverage. By investing in rural health clinics and telehealth, we can make sure people get the care they need before it becomes more expensive. Finally, we’ll push to lower prescription drug costs, make hospital prices more transparent, and reward doctors for keeping patients healthy instead of just treating them when they’re sick. These changes will make healthcare more affordable and accessible for everyone in Louisiana.
