Quentin Anthony Anderson, candidate for Louisiana State Senate District 14, has been named a 2025 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate, a distinction awarded to candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to common-sense gun safety policies.
The designation, given by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, recognizes leaders who support responsible gun legislation aimed at reducing gun violence while respecting the rights of responsible gun owners. Anderson’s campaign has emphasized the urgent need for stronger background checks, red flag laws, safe storage requirements, and closing loopholes that allow firearms to fall into dangerous hands.
“Gun violence is a public safety crisis in Louisiana, and we need leaders who will take real action to protect our communities,” Anderson said. “This isn’t about taking guns away from law-abiding citizens—it’s about keeping weapons out of the hands of dangerous individuals and ensuring our children, families, and first responders are safer.”
Louisiana consistently ranks among the states with the highest rates of gun violence. Advocates have long called for stronger safeguards to prevent gun-related deaths, particularly in domestic violence cases and among children. Moms Demand Action, one of the country’s leading grassroots organizations for gun safety, has been instrumental in pushing for reforms such as universal background checks and safe storage laws.
If elected, Anderson has pledged to support universal background checks, advocate for red flag laws, push for stronger safe storage requirements, and work to close loopholes that allow domestic abusers and violent offenders to access firearms.
With Election Day on February 15, Anderson’s campaign continues to gain momentum among voters seeking leaders who will prioritize public safety over partisan gridlock.
